We've had a lot of humidifiers over the years and have been very happy with this unit. Puts out great warm mist very quickly and at high settings will go through the entire reservoir overnight. My only strike against it is just a personal preference in that to turn it on the next night I have to unplug it first (after auto-off is engaged when it runs out of water). With that being the only negative, but with perfect performance, I still felt 5-starts was appropriate.

This is my SECOND Holmes humidifier REPLACEMENT and I am HIGHLY disappointed with it as well the BRAND!!!!!!!!!. but there is no handle on the water vessel which it makes very difficult to flip it over and get it in the base, also hard to drain / dry out, no indicator light / reset button as it claims. There are more issues with this humidifier than mentioned.......waste of money, time, and not worth the headache, won't recommend.

I wish I had read the product instructions before purchasing -- and then I never would have bought this humidifier. The instructions more or less insist that you must wash the thing every single day or it will not work properly. (I suspect this means, in part, that it will spew mold and mildew if you don't wash it and add disinfectant regularly.) Who is actually going to do that? Almost no one, seems to me. I tried to return the humidifier, but return shipping costs approximately as much as the humidifier cost in the first place, and the company said it couldn't help with a more favorable rate -- so the thing is sitting in a box in my closet waiting for me to donate it to Goodwill. A total waste of money. I will never buy from this company again.
